Final Week of the Holiday Giving Season at Crossgates
– Several charities wrapping up their seasons of giving –
Guilderland, NY: Each year, Crossgates donates space to hundreds of not-for-profits and collaborates with them to hold over 500 fundraisers and dozens of major events at the center. During the holiday season we open our doors to several organizations, both big and small, to host their annual holiday donation drives along with many other groups hosting everything from coin drops to giving trees.
“It warms our hearts and brings us great joy to welcome in these groups, not just during the holiday season, but all year round”, said Marketing Director, Leslie Mugrace.
As we enter the final days of the holiday season there will be several organizations at Crossgates wrapping up their holiday season drives. We welcome our shoppers to visit any of the following over the next several days as you visit Crossgates to finish up those holiday shopping lists.
- Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY with their Holiday Hunger Appear located near Urban Outfitters on the lower level
- American Cancer Society with their annual Gift Wrapping station outside of APEX Entertainment on the lower level
- Make A Wish Northeastern NY with their annual Seasons of Wishes campaign located near the LEGO Store on the lower level
- Kiwanis Club of Albany raising funds for the Kiwanis/Albany Med KPTC Prevention Program near Five Below on the lower level
- The Salvation Army with their Annual Kettle Campaign located at several entrances throughout Crossgates
- Albany City Lodge #540 Knights of Pythias raising funds for all of their charitable organizations located near Newbury Comics on the lower level
Along with the following local groups:
- Pops Warriors raising funds offering gift wrapping for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Clifton Park Baseball, Woodlands Elite Albany Booster Club, and the Schenectady Blue Jays.
Also enjoy an annual holiday performance by the Capital Area Flute Club on Sunday, December 22nd.
On average, these fundraising efforts result in close to $750,000 raised annually for local not-for-profits. Partnering with and giving back to our community is important to us, especially this time of year. Crossgates is pleased to work with all not-for-profit organizations looking to benefit from the center. Whether it is a tabling opportunity for fundraising and awareness campaigns, or a large event in the common area, our doors are always open.
