Amazing Race to Recovery Returns
–At Crossgates April 5, 2025-
Guilderland, NY – Second Chance Opportunities, Inc. is proud to announce the return of Amazing Race to Recovery, a fun, family-friendly event designed to raise awareness about substance use disorder and support recovery efforts right here in the Capital Region. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Crossgates, from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a closing ceremony and awards celebration to follow until 4:30 PM.
Thanks to the generous support of lead 2025 sponsors – Albany Battery Auto Sales, Sunmark Credit Union, and Mount Laurel Recovery Center – this event will bring the community together to compete in a series of engaging team challenges, all while supporting an important cause.
Participants form teams of two to five people, and all are welcome to join. The cost is $20 per person, and registration is now open at www.amazingracetorecovery.org.
Second Chance Opportunities, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Albany, NY, dedicated to providing vital support services to individuals in recovery from substance use disorder. All proceeds from Amazing Race to Recovery benefit the organization’s Recovery Housing program, which provides safe, supportive housing for 88 individuals, including men, women, and children.
Amazing Race to Recovery is Second Chance Opportunities’ annual fundraiser, supporting vital services that help individuals and families navigate life in recovery. In 2024, SCO provided recovery coaching to over 400 people, helped nearly 90 individuals find employment, hosted hundreds of sober activities, and offered transportation, housing, and walk-in support to thousands. These services are life-changing—but they rely on community support to continue. By contributing to this year’s event, you’re directly supporting recovery-focused & sober activities, housing, transportation, and community programs that promote stability, independence, and lasting recovery.
Sponsorships are available at multiple levels ranging from $500 to $5,000. Companies and organizations are encouraged to support the cause by forming teams or becoming event sponsors.
