Guilderland, NY – Nonna & Oma’s is now open at Crossgates, located on the upper level near JCPenney. More than just your regular kitchen store, Nonna & Oma’s puts a strategic focus on gathering together. Angela, owner of the local gift cooperative Artique, created this store to honor her mother, and Nonna’s best friend – “Oma.” Nonna and Oma represent two cherished friends from distinct worlds, Italy & Germany, who found a common bond in their love for connecting with loved ones – most often by cooking and entertaining.
At Nonna & Oma’s, they hope to celebrate that friendship by inspiring others to gather together and create cherished memories. Whether it is a sit down family dinner, casual cocktails with friends or a large party in your backyard – their aim is to rouse your tastebuds and incite your desire to create any excuse to make more meaningful connections. “Part of this venture is getting back to my roots. I love baking and it has taken a back seat since opening my business 15 years ago. Nonna & Oma’s is all about digging back into my roots (Italian and German) while learning something new. I hope to leverage my talents as a business owner with my passion for human interaction and my love for creating food to share with others.
